Pregnancy brings a new rhythm and, often, its share of demands and decisions. Between changing sensations, endless information and well-meaning advice, your attention is often pulled in many directions. Choosing to pause gives you the space to move through this chapter with greater presence and kindness toward yourself and your family.
At Scandinave Spa, you are first welcomed into stunning natural surroundings. Away from screens, distractions and the pressure to prepare for what comes next, nature and silence invite you to slow down, with no itinerary to follow and nothing to accomplish.
Because pregnancy changes the way you listen to your body, some habits need to be adapted. Thermotherapy, and more specifically immersion in very hot, then very cold water, is not recommended during pregnancy. Your visit can, however, be fully dedicated to rest and prenatal massage.

As your body changes, so do your needs and desires. At Scandinave Spa, every detail is carefully considered to offer a moment of pure relaxation. Each spa has several relaxation areas with large windows overlooking the surrounding nature. A wide variety of furniture lets you find your favourite cocoon and settle in comfortably, whatever your stage of pregnancy. Round beds, papasan chairs, lounge chairs or hanging chairs: there’s no shortage of options to find the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with yourself.

While full immersion in the hot or cold pools is not recommended during pregnancy, a small gesture can still feel good. With your healthcare professional’s approval, sit carefully at the edge of a pool and briefly dip your lower legs or feet. The sensation can offer a refreshing moment when your legs feel heavy or your feet are swollen.

Our prenatal massage is specially adapted to the needs of pregnant women.
The experience begins by making room for comfort. Your massage therapist has several support cushions to adjust your position and give you the support you need throughout the massage. Some equipment even allows you to lie on your stomach, if that position feels right for you: an option that can ease certain pressures and bring real relief. Your massage therapist looks after your comfort throughout the treatment and adjusts the setup as needed. Nothing to manage or anticipate, only an invitation to let your body relax for a while.
At Scandinave Spa Mont-Tremblant, prenatal massage is available from the 13th week of pregnancy. At our destinations outside Quebec, Whistler and Blue Mountain, there is no minimum number of weeks required, but a doctor’s note may be requested.

Whether this is your first pregnancy or your days already revolve around little ones, moments without a to-do list can be rare. Here, this is time you give yourself: nothing to do, nowhere to be.
Let your loved ones know you’ll be unreachable for a few hours, bring a book, close your eyes or peacefully take in the landscape. Once on site, you can enjoy the facilities until closing time, moving from one relaxation area to another as your energy guides you and pausing whenever your body asks. A bistro is also available if you’d like a break and a bite to eat, without leaving this unhurried rhythm.
After your baby arrives, whenever you’re ready, Scandinave Spa will still be here for you to rediscover the full Thermal Journey at your own pace. And you may find that the silence of our spas takes on a whole new meaning with a newborn at home!
Every pregnancy is different. Before your visit, speak with your doctor or midwife and choose only the activities that are right for you.
